26-11-2009Season over for Davis
Bolton midfielder Sean Davis is set to miss the remainder of the 2009/10 campaign with a knee injury.

The 30-year-old only joined the Trotters from Portsmouth over the summer, and managed just three appearances before being struck down.

Articular cartilage damage has kept him sidelined since September, with the former Fulham man having gone under the knife in an effort to aid his recovery.

Davis, though, has resigned himself to the fact that he will not play again this term and has instead set his sights on being fit and healthy for the start of pre-season.

"I know I am not going to play again this season," he told The Bolton News.

"To have had an injury for this long, I would rather see it out and be 100 per cent for pre-season. Hopefully, if everything goes right, I should be back in April but for me, I don't want to rush it.

"If everything is going well then, fine, but I don't want to have an operation like that and then mess it up. It would be pointless. I want to play everything by the book."

Meanwhile, 20-year-old frontman Temitope Obadeyi has returned to the Reebok Stadium following his loan spell at League One outfit Swindon.
